i mean, it's logical, right? a set of sequels that gradually rebuild mean you gravitate away from the post-apocalpytic setting. you are undermining the very foundations of the setting

and you could get *so much* out of that setting - it's easy to imagine shit getting _worse_ over time as a world reliant on pre-war tech finds the supply of old stuff dwindling and no capacity to manufacture anything to replace it

i would cheerfully murder for a dynamic scavenger society sim that interacted with both that and the capacity to remix and explore novel technical spaces that were neglected by the pre-collapse society
