Mmmm, sorta yes, sorta no. In conventional electrical distribution, the electrons don't move much. What moves is the charge, which isn't a physical thing. It's like how waves in the ocean can go thousands of miles, but the water in the wave at any given time isn't going very far.

Electricity is power transmission using electrons. It doesn't come from electrons, and it is not the electrons themselves. Hydropower doesn't come from water either. Nor is it water. It's potential energy from gravity, using water as the medium.

My favorite fact about electrons: while electricity travels at ~ 186,000 miles per second, it can take all day for a specific electron to make its way along a room's length of ordinary copper wire. The latency is nearly instantaneous, but the bandwidth is squat.
