Preening your social circle for loyalty that way has historically been a sign of preparation for civil war. I didn't want to spend my declining years in the middle of a civil war, but revolutions often take the form of civil wars.

loyalty only matters if you're out to harm people who don't need to be harmed tho, someone should probably send 'em a memo er somethin
