I always knew Shrek was capable of becoming schizo. This thought was validated when I learned his creator was a relative of Margaret Mead and Gregory Bateson. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Steig …

It’s based on IRL interactions, the terminology used by psychiatry has become a self-binding mechanism. All the people saying ‘my anxiety,’ ftozen in place, like spells. I lived it longtimes.

Not everyone thinks about this stuff in more serious ways, some just grab a label (or are assigned one) & collapse. People not in this space we are discoursing within.

I don’t want to attack the medication cuz I was there too & it’s a grey area, but the language reinforces the trappedness, if the language were altered maybe the problems would seem less fixed & impenetrable.

Yeah I agree that a huge problem with mental health discourse is how its phrased and approached. There's a lack of words that mean things to everyone else that also aren't problematic, I guess. Which I guess means new words or ways to use language ought to appear

The internet is making victimzation a key component of social belonging, like ‘incel,’ thats so utterly toxic to proper understanding that I am continually amazed by its existence. It’s a further compartmentalization of people into warring factions based on feeling offended.
