There seems to be a circular reasoning involved in trans advocacy for puberty blockers in children. Many trans individuals argue they wish they had access to puberty blockers as children, so in turn they feel they are helping children today by fighting to keep them legal.

The problem is the adult mind looking back is far, far different than the child mind looking forward. The adult believes their transition would have been easier had they not gone through puberty in the first place. But the truth is, there is no long term understanding yet.

Jazz Jennings is a great example here. As a child the young boy was given puberty blockers. When he became a teenager be began taking estrogen. By the time he was able to get surgery, he had not developed enough tissue to create female genitals. He has had multiple surgeries.

So adults who have transitioned do not understand the side effects puberty blockers would have had on their own bodies and the lack of development they, themselves, would be trapped with. They began with fully functioning adult bodies when they pursued hormones and surgery.

Advocates retroactively *imagine* that remaining physically 'neutral' until they could begin their preferred hormones would have allowed them to develop into their preferred gender more convincingly. They often argue that puberty permanently makes transition harder.

But they do not consider that their bone development, mental development, organ development and adult sexual development would be dramatically altered had they taken puberty blockers as children. They lack the proper perspective to make this decision for children today.

Is there an element within the psychiatric community using the trans population to test drug cocktails?

Another circular reason is the "suicide threat"...CHILDREN are NOT committing suicide because they are denided blockers! It is an irresponsible excuse to promote experimenting on CHILDREN to justify their own dysphoria! I find it quite sickening!

When I was a child, I had an invisible friend that was a frog. But apparently kids know they’re born in the wrong body. 🙄
