    2019 was my year off. I didn’t play any shows or release anything but I wrote loads of music. New stuff coming this year. Very new. Very different.

    2012 was a blur. In February we released Point Of Go, the third album of my band Jonquil, and then in October I released Young Hunger. Things stepped up considerably with this one.

    I had written enough tracks by mid-2011 to put out another record, this time with a full team behind me... managers, agents, publicists and lawyers. Yet still, the songs were written and recorded in my bedroom on my decrepit gear.

    Back in 2010, Jeff from asked if I wanted to release a record with his brand new label. I said sure and gave him the only four chad valley tracks I had completed at the time. These were made with Fruity Loops on a tower PC in my bedroom on Hollow Way, Oxford.
