learning on the internet feels like buying a car and suddenly noticing others who have it everywhere you go. you start learning about a particular topic and suddenly you see it in newsletters, tweets, blog posts, youtube videos. fun stuff :)

Improve your writing by imitating the writing of someone you admire Stephen King says in ‘On Writing’ — Imitation preceded creation [!]; I would copy Combat Casey comics word for word in my Blue Horse tablet, sometimes adding my own descriptions where they seemed appropriate.
If you can disconnect from feedback emotionally, you'll always have a growth advantage. Everything is just information. If you can overcome the tendency to take it personally, you can capitalize on every opportunity to show up as a more effective person.

when i dropped out of school, it felt like my life was over. but now i see it as part of the plan for my life. i’m thankful and wouldn’t go back to change anything. p.s. i did end up finishing college :)

when i think about what my life would have been like had i gone to med school and accomplished my high school “dream,” i’m not sure i’d be living out *my* purpose. all of my life would look completely different.

anesthesiologist was top of the list so i decided that’s what i was going to be. after years of studying cellular biology, i felt in my gut it wasn’t for me. so i dropped out of college and dove straight into the business world. eventually making my way to the startup world!

life never goes as planned. in high school we had a project of creating a resume for our dream job. since i was decent at math and science, i figured being a doctor would be cool. (plus, i’m the child of an immigrant. iykyk) i googled, “what doctor makes the most money?”
