Super interested to see how they placed this series on the resident Evil timeline

Nice! The Peabody Awards have expanded to include Interactive Stories, with Amy Hennig of Uncharted fame on the jury.

A great world-building tip is the "Principle of Minimal Deviation"... don't go too far away from reality - your fiction needs to feel authentic!

What I really want is a Cthulhu version of this (it’s a family board game - original name was “Afrikan tähti”)

That's smart licensing and IP thinking, right there. It's tough to do made-to-order "wonderful". "I think most triple-A devs prefer their game dev team to build core gameplay and then fit an IP to it, versus shoving an IP down their throats."

Interesting move using the same actor in the game and the film. Expectations created by games are not to be taken lightly!

Could never happen in games. Never

A streaming service with only the Warhammer 40K IP!? have always been cutting edge when it came to universe building. Nothing else like it in this world (or any world)

Good world building: monsters have feelings, too

Sometimes a single image is enough to convey an entire world (artist unknown)

My take: the expectations generated by good console/PC games (interaction, payment, etc.) are so very specific that loyalty to the IP is easily destroyed by changing them to fit mobile :'-(

Definitely a challenge to adapt the Portal IP! The real stars of the game were the mechanics and the slow reveal of the universe. The characters were faceless robots... Good luck, !

This is an earthquake in the global IP landscape. Game IPs should feel the shockwave sometime next year. Perhaps with as the canary in the coal mine?

Some of us have known this forever! “The class provides compelling insights into the friendships and connections that players forge through video games.”

A nice little checklist in the form of a World Creation Tree Seen in the Realm Fables book -

The most important reason might not even be on the list: today, we finally have many good filmmakers who have grown up with games - and who respect them as an art form!
