    Gas is a climate-harming fossil fuel. The EU shouldn’t spend billions of public funding on gas infrastructure that isn’t needed – that’s a recipe for stranded assets with costs that will be borne by the public.

    Exactly the trend we need to see. Specially hopeful to see some developing countries also start to decouple. Critical for their safe growth.

    In a new analysis, we find there are now 32 countries that have absolutely decoupled economic growth from CO2 since 2005. In these places both territorial emissions and consumption emissions (which include CO2 imported in goods) are falling. A thread: 1/21

    Could not agree more - economic recovery financing clean industries, good green jobs and resilient infrastructure are exactly what public resources are for! 🌎

    recovery can only be successful if it embraces ambitious . Massive sums of money are being mobilized to revitalize economies. It is vital that these investments advance the transition to renewable energy, create green jobs & promote green infrastructures.
