Germany latest National Team to protest ahead of World Cup qualifier for Qatar 2022 tournament following Norway''s lead last night. Recently reported 6,500 foreign workers have lost their lives making Qatar World Cup ready. Fascinating to see if these protests evolve and grow 🇩🇪

There is not a funnier coach in college basketball than NU's Joe McKeown. Even in the postgame TV interview he obliges the analysts' requests to dance. "I wanna keep dancing!" he said. NU wins first NCAA Tournament in his tenure with 62-51 win against UCF.

Elgin Baylor boycotted a Lakers exhibition game in 1959 in West Virginia when he wasn't allowed to stay at the first hotel & be served at a restaurant. Made real change. 🙏Elgin. RIP

Talk about hardships. Elgin had military service in the 61-62 season. Flying in to play on weekends he averaged 38 and 19 in 48 games for the season and still able to play only weekends set the Finals scoring record with 61 points. If you never saw him play you have no idea

Don’t watch any college hoops but why is Loyola being called Cinderella? Very well coached. Players who have been in big moments and knew they belonged. Controlled game throughout.

I've felt like a voice in the wilderness for 27 years now, calling for Milwaukee's baseball stadium to include Hank Aaron's name. He hit his first homer as a Milwaukee Brave and his 755th as a Milwaukee Brewer. Will Atlanta give the Hammer his due?

Bud Lea always was concerned about how younger reporters were doing and I'm glad mentioned this in his fine article on the life of a legendary Wisconsin sports writer.

Keeping Milwaukee relevant on the NBA scene is what Giannis just did. He showed loyalty to the franchise when he could have gone the other way and forced a trade. Now this season already feels different.

2 crazy stats out of Northwestern win. They have been the underdog 27 straight times vs. Wisconsin and won 13 of the games outright. NU has now beaten UW 4x since the East-West split (4-3). The other 5 West teams combined have beaten the Badgers 3x (3-28).
