You’re not only rude, you’re insecure and petty. Strong women recognize the difference between a polite gesture and jerks like you that see through the lense of hate and skin color. Get bent.

Thank you for that! I am over 6" tall and if there is a shorter lady sitting next to me I ALWAYS ask if they need help. Men too if I feel they are struggling. I've been helped by men in Europe getting my 30kg suitcase up on top of the shelves on trains, no harm no foul.
-
I’m 5.2, and I always appreciate the help, it keeps me from the temptation of climbing up on the shelving.

-
Same. 5 ft.

I’m a 6’6” middle aged white male who gladly lifts suitcases for anyone who appears in need.....I also deeply appreciate all of you who reside much closer to the ground who quickly pick up whatever I drop and hand it to me.

I never thought about it, but I’ve picked up things for people many times, being short is not a handicap after all.

-
Amen Christie!!!! You have no idea how much us vertically gifted people appreciate your service!

This is how decent people communicate with one another

Such a pity you hadn't been raised to have good manners. Thankfully, most people still are & appreciate help when offered.

As a 5' female, over 40, I'm more than happy for any assistance in such circumstances! I don't care if it's a man, a woman, a child, if they are black, white or blue with yellow spots. A helping hand is just that, anyone feeling belittled by that is the one with the problem.
-
I let a man climb in a buggy to get something off the top shelf in walmart. Im too short to do things on my own. Thank you so much all the kind men out there willing to help us ladies.
-
Shoot, I'll ask a taller woman to reach something for me if she's in the aisle with me. It's usually not hard to find someone taller than me around.

But I also hold the door open for anyone and everyone. -
I’ve seen shorter women AND men struggle to get things off high shelves & I always offer to get it as I’m tall. They’ve (almost) all been appreciative & I’ll keep helping. Sometimes when I don’t notice I’ve been asked if I can get something up high for people. It’s human decency.
-
I get asked all the time to reach things. I'm 6'5.
-
I’m not that tall so I’d ask you for help

-
I'd be glad to reach things for you

I hope your resistance does not prevent a nice person from helping me with my luggage. I travel almost weekly & Im always grateful 4 anyone helping in all situations (acts of kindness are encouraged).

I got berated by a White upper Middle class woman at a Trader Joe when I moved her shopping cart from the driveway where she left it to the cart storage area saying I made her feel guilty. Go figure.
-
Lord have mercy. I’d appreciate anyone helping me. Kindness brings joy to reasonable people.
-
“Kindness brings joy to reasonable people”. Quote of the week right here. :)
-
Agreed ! It also shows how unreasonable some people are when confronted with what my Nan called manners .
