You only 36! Damm you had it tough!
My most confusing moments of adulthood are when I land in another city for a performance gig & think about getting the rental car & can’t believe I’m allowed/old enough to do such an adult thing as travel alone. Then I remember I’m 36, and I’ve been doing this for over a decade.

Sounds like there are some deep insecurities there that you blame on the people in society that make you feel insecure. Remember though, it's not those people's fault that they make you feel insecrure, it's up to you to become stronger, not them to mould a world around your needs
