Excellent question. Every time I think I have a system it fails. Special folders. Eh. A spreadsheet of every poem I’ve ever written. Eh. What I’ve found is best is the process of trying a new organizing process every few years as my work itself shifts.
Word! Hmmm. It again depends on where I’m at. Since I’m also a journalist & non-fiction writer, I also have poetry ebbs & flows. So again, I let the poems tell me when they want attention and/or space.
