    In 1893 the hawaiian language was banned for 100 years after the illegal overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom.  is an opportunity to not only celebrate our indigenous cultural heritage but the revitalization of our indigenous languages like ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi.
