A challenge to the entire national media: If a corporate contribution is not a bribe, what is it? Do you honestly believe that corporations give money to politicians for charity? For any other reason than to influence or buy their vote? So, why won't you report on it honestly?

Oh really Blue Cross Blue Shield giving millions to politicians to prevent them from being in favor of Medicare for all because it would be detrimental to them isn't a bribe?

It could be that corporations want to support the candidates who are ideologically advantageous to them. That isn't a bribe unless the contribution changes what a politician would otherwise do.

Corporations aren’t people and shouldn’t be allowed to give contributions. Especially, when their interests conflict with that of the electorate. You call it influence, but we both know it’s a form of bribery. Maybe not in the strictest legal term, but it is essentially 1/2
