This is important bc one of the biggest arguments pharma makes against price control of new medicines by US Govt and quicker generic medicines access is that the cost to develop the new drug would be larger than the predicted ROI of the drug

Comparison of different US laws and their impact on patent exclusivity of new drugs (and therefore the ROI of the new drug for the pharma company). Innovation period = drug dev, monopoly=market approved, selling under patent, competitive=open to generics

Was speaking with a female founder friend this evening, and wow - the abuse, unprofessional and frankly rude behavior she has dealt with from investors is INSANE. Why is this ok? Still? The minute someone isn't a 'hot deal' or 'networked', everyone seems to lose common decency!

Best histories/books on the development of specific drugs? You can find the scientific history of a drug relatively easy, but I’m talking about histories from w/in the companies, pivotal board meetings, the decisions that went into bringing the drug forward successfully (or not)

So cool - maiden flight for the B777X - apparently maiden flights of new aircraft only happen ~2x a decade. Also fun fact, time to take a new plane to market ~= time to take a new drug through clinical trials
