I'll look over everyone's records, goals, and personalities and decide. Buttigieg's record is impressive, his schooling is exceptional, and he knows peace and war. I like what I see. His diplomacy stands out. Good on a world stage. I may.

@LarrySabato Whoa! Not only does Buttigieg mirror JFK in his future focus and his historical consciousness but he represents JFK's respect for learning in another sense: he speaks the language of international audiences, quite literally!

Jackie Kennedy was the one fluent in French and Spanish, not JFK, but your point is well taken. Multilingualism is one sign of a well educated person; in a president it can have very special meaning.

Considering our current guy didn’t bother to master English... this is icing on Pete’s multi-tiered intellectual cake

Mayor Pete Buttigieg is fluent in Norwegian (he taught himself), and conversational in Spanish, French, Italian, Maltese, Farsi, and Arabic. The last two were useful when he was a naval intelligence officer for 5 years. He’s also a graduate of both Harvard and Oxford.

He’s so beyond over qualified to be president, but I don’t think the US is mature enough to vote logically.

I know we haven’t earned your trust recently, but I still believe in us.
