Presumably newspapers and networks should report for free on all tragedies? War correspondents should fly themselves to Syria and describe charred corpses out of their own pocket? I don't think you've thought this through.

I’m referring to the American tax status, which allows for a company to operate with costs and revenue, while not “making money”. It’s definitely not free or pro bono. I said recoup costs, time spent would be one at a rate of general opportunity cost. I have thought this through

If humans weren't allowed to make money from tragedy, you wouldn't have doctors, lawyers, police detectives, investigative journalists, most hollywood films, etc. If you've really thought it through take your moralizing to the top earners and leave me toward the end of your list.

Humans shouldn’t make money off of someone else’s tragedy. It shouldn’t be contrarian to say that... I understand that’s not the world we live in, but it should be the goal in my opinion.

That's your view. Again, if you have integrity you should be bothering people who are making millions from tragedy, in all the ways I've outlined, instead of this YouTuber.

Have you always been this sensitive to those challenging your basis? I’d hardly call posting a link to the rules referenced as bothering, but, ok. And I think you meant “this professional activist”

I've given you reasoning to explain why your views are silly, or why you are being disingenuous in singling me out when there are people making far more money from tragedy than me. If you can only retort that I'm being "sensitive" I don't have anything to add. Take care.

Your premise is you’re being treated unfairly... You said exactly that. You’re not by YouTube. YouTube is treating all content on with the same rule. You would like that rule changed to match the world economy generally. YouTube doesn’t want that. Silly?

Your logical fallacy is: appeal to authority. Take care. And seriously, take your "support" elsewhere if you don't mind.

I support your activism. These are important topics that should be discussed and funded. I don’t have to support your ideal monetization of that activity. “Take it or leave it” thinking is a hard doctrine to deprogram... Good luck with your endeavors

(1/2) No, you really don't support me. My Reclaimed Voices documentary would never have been made if I hadn't been funded by my patrons to drop everything and spend 2 weeks filming in the Netherlands. I don't owe the world anything.
