    An application I've been building for the past year is going into the first stage of production. Is this what it feels like when your kid starts walking? I'm so happy it's working but also it's kinda awkward and there's a bit of periodic stumbling and falling on their face

    Apparently DC govt now has an app for getting visitor parking permits. Here's the thing: you still have to *print out the permit.* So basically... you have to have both a smartphone/computer *and* a printer in order to benefit from the new system. ?????

    Today Census released data from the very first survey ever to ask about gender identity and sexual orientation. I "came out" of twitter silence to tweet about this only to find had done a great job already. I will only add that being counted matters a great deal. 🏳️‍🌈

    Not only does the latest phase of the ’s include useful new data on the and more, it’s also historic: The Pulse survey is the very first Census Bureau survey to ask about gender identity and sexual orientation.
