CDC does not currently recommend the use of facemasks to help prevent novel #coronavirus. Take everyday preventive actions, like staying home when you are sick and washing hands with soap and water, to help slow the spread of respiratory illness. #COVID19 https://bit.ly/37Ay6Cm pic.twitter.com/yzWTSgt2IV

If they are not recommended, why do all health care workers wear them in situations like this even if they are healthy? 🧐🤨

That is a good point. Don't touch your face, wash your hands, avoid touching other people...etc.

Are you unaware there can be people “asymptotic” walking around to spread the virus? These people won’t stay home as you suggested because they don’t even know they are sick! That’s why we need to wear masks to protect ourselves. Wake up CDC and keep your information up to date!
