It’s not Left versus Right, Democrat versus Republican. It’s about democracy versus authoritarianism.

For over 10 days now, around half the residents of Jackson, Mississippi have not had running water. And nobody is talking about it on a national scale. I am begging the national media to please pay attention. There is a crisis happening in Jackson.

Serious question: If masks and social distancing don’t work, then what the hell happened to the flu?

Your reminder that the increased wealth of America's 664 billionaires since the pandemic began is $1.3 trillion -- enough to fund a $3,900 stimulus check to all 331 Americans. Yet every House Republican just voted against a $1,400 stimulus check.

While Walmart refuses to raise its $11 minimum wage, Alice Walton had no problem purchasing a $500 million private art collection, buying a $25 million 2-floor Park Avenue condo with 52 windows and acquiring a $22 million 4,400-acre Texas ranch. Something is very wrong here.

Increasing the minimum wage isn't just good for workers, it's good for the entire economy. It's simple: When workers earn more, they spend more, the economy grows, and companies hire more Americans. It's a virtuous cycle that can build back our economy for all.

Republicans in Congress have made themselves clear: They don’t want to send relief to the American people — they don’t care if millions are suffering.

When I graduated college in 1968, the typical corporate CEO got 20 times the pay of the average worker. When I became labor secretary in 1993, the ratio was 61-to-1. Today, the ratio is 320-to-1. Capitalism is off the rails.

The testimony of Louis DeJoy—and the surly ignorance he showed of the most-American and once-beloved service he’s supposed to lead—brought back all my fury about the last four years of incompetent sycophants put in these important government jobs.
