@ccgus I finally had to recently.
Can't sign into http://appleid.apple.com without changing my id from my name to an email. Do I finally give up and make the change?

@ccgus You haven’t really lived until you’ve struggled with 3 or more Apple IDs. It’s a feature not a bug! -

@ccgus The problem is that they won’t let you use an email address with more than one Apple ID, and they’re all already tied to my other ID. -

@ccgus I'd love to, but that they won't merge accounts (auto-created a second account using http://me.com email tied to original). -
@ccgus Prompted by your tweet, I tried to make the change: it does noting when I hit "continue". (Briefly gives a spinner; nothing else.) -
@ccgus Strange ... I can login with a non-email id just fine -
@ccgus I did it a year ago and I hate it, because I couldn't use a .mac/iCloud address. AppleID is a hell! I hate it.
