      Watching 'Introducing Search Ads' so in a few years when all my indie developer friends go back to consulting I'll know why.

      Question for the business savvy: Is second-price auction model actually based on what your competitor is WILLING to pay? I don't get it.

      How does this work? User searches 'broadcast live video'. Meerkat wants the ad spot but Periscope is "willing" to pay $1,000,000 per tap.

      @RebeccaSlatkin important to remember that Periscope isn’t just saying they are “willing” to pay. If M bids $999,999 P will pay their bid.

      @Jury @RebeccaSlatkin I'm not trying to put you on the spot when you can't really respond ... just venting. It doesn't smell like Apple.

      @danielpunkass @Jury @RebeccaSlatkin it’s like modern Apple though. Ask yourself, who does this help?

          @ccgus @Jury @RebeccaSlatkin It's the thing I can't make sense of: what Apple priority does it serve? http://bitsplitting.org/2016/04/15/paid-app-store-search/ …

          @danielpunkass @ccgus @Jury It's all very confusing.

          @ccgus @Jury @RebeccaSlatkin I have asked, and can't think of anybody but deep-pocketed developers with non-definitive search results.

          @danielpunkass @ccgus It helps Apple, by providing what I’m assuming will be a healthy chunk of revenue.

          @bcbroom @ccgus That's the thing, Apple doesn't need revenue on that scale. It's chump change.

          @danielpunkass @ccgus is it chump change? Do we have any back of the envelope estimates? Apple just got hammered for revenue drop.

          @bcbroom @ccgus AFAIK all App Store sales is chump change compared to hardware revenues, so I doubt that search ads revenue will shine.

          @danielpunkass not iPhone revenue, but potential for ‘not chump change’

        @ccgus @Jury @RebeccaSlatkin Main change for those us with definitive terms, is we have to pay a minimum … $0.01? to oust other ads.
