Rumor says that from a #0day exploits perspective, the security of
Signal > WhatsApp > Telegram > iMessage.

disagree with telegram position in the line telegram is more secure than WhatsApp anyway. I don't know what is your criteria... but you are wrong

I would never recommend WA over Telegram but from a security perspective WhatsApp is better.

I want to completely switch to Signal. But convincing others/friends to move out of WhatsApp is a problem. Most people don't even care or is aware of security/privacy issues.

I also fear for their desktop app users. The download page at https://signal.org is dependent on at least 6 external hosts, one of which is a tracker (http://getclicky.com ). These hosts can decide whether people download the Signal desktop app with or without a virus.
