Trudeau’s security should have intervened when Trudeau’s assistant started grabbing that man, then Trudeau grabs him WTF. Had that man reacted Trudeau’s security would have been caught in a situation cause by Trudeau’s people, compete amateur hour stupidity. No wonder Butts quit!
-
Security must think it is okay for Trudeau's MP to put her hands on that volunteer. If he had done that to her he would have likely been dragged away and spent the night in jail. If we had real media in Canada they would be interviewing this guy.
-
Media should be interviewing him and asking Trudeau’s security boss why it’s ok for Trudeau and his people to grab someone for speaking out.
-
It shouldn’t be the case but that’s what gets my blood boiling. He’s way out of line grabbing that gentleman.
@karenmccrimmon does the same and it is disgraceful behaviour. -
This issue of Trudeau in particular where he goes into this aggressive behaviour mode when anyone challenges him is immature and unacceptable for someone in his position, clearly this aggression runs in his collection of amateur MP’s too.
-
Name calling, talking over a concerned volunteer and taxpayer with talking points and telling him a sob story about his issues with security and crossing the line physically while taking a series of photo shoots...you cannot make this mess up.

Nothing was being blocked, the gentleman in question was lying.
-
Riled up old stock Canadian.
-
Yep, the RCMP literally said nothing was being blocked Politicos often don't go to an area where the situation is too dire for that reason. So the man in question was lying and journalists beleived despite what they could see with their own eyes.
-
If the guy was lying, why did Trudeau begin his response with an apology for the delay due to his security. Also please post a link to rcmp denying a delay.
-
Cause he has manners and was trying to diffuse a ranting partisan.

Trudeau was out their encouraging volunteer work and raising awareness. This guy soaked up all the attention and ruined what would have been a great way to get the word out to other Canadians.
-
Lol it’s been the lede on every newscast both local and national. People are aware. Stop. There’s a fine line between showing leadership by being present and being a pain in the butt. He stayed away from Fort Mac for just that reason. What changed?
-
General people can help with floods, but not with raging wildfires. This gets volunteers out to help who are otherwise unaffected.
-
He could have visited the evacuees of Fort Mac, far away from the flames. The point is, he exercised caution there and didn't here. He made his perfunctory appearance earlier in the week, why another disruption today, of all days?
-
He spoke with volunteers and fast-tracked 300 million in funding to help in the rebuilding. As already mentioned it's easier to help out during a flood than in the during or in the aftermath of a wildfire.
-
Rocco, to the man's point, he has become a distraction now. He als shouldn't be putting his hands on people. And he damn sure as hell shouldn't be using the words unneighbourly and unfriendly to describe a man who is there for hours helping to save other people's home. Full stop.
-
The man made the distraction. Trudeau was walking away and instead of getting to work, the man demanded attention and an argument.
-
Have a good day Rocco.
