As a company you seem extremely committed to having as contentious a relationship with your user base, by which I mean content creators, as humanly possible and it’s very confusing to me.

As far as I’m aware the primary way YouTube makes money is providing a space for companies to place advertisements as well as generating data for ad placements and search history. Making things more difficult for content creators seems counterintuitive to that strategy.
