While we're on the subject I think @IDWPublishing should pick up the licence for thundercats, wouldn't mind you giving the cats some new life Cavan

I was working on some Thundercats things before the cancellation. Would have been fun, but not to be.

Ouch....I understand the hate, don't mind myself that thundercats gets too live on and probably get a new incarnation down the line, however.... this part of the article is inaccurate, "the 2011 show wasn't liked", basically the show was renewed...(1of2)

(2of2) a second series was commissioned by Turner, 6 episodes had been scripted and the whole series plotted out...then Lego came along and offered them a much cheaper option(legend of chima) that is what killed the show.

In addition, Bandai toys would have continued too make toys if the show had continued, the investment on there part was huge and the only reason the toys seemed too fail was because they flooded the market before it had time to resonate with kids....timing wasn't great ...

It's the same as people I've seen saying they won't watch the new Lost in Space out of some sense of loyalty to the original. It's okay, it's a fictional TV series from the 60s, it won't be offended.

I saw a few people actually say, "There's only one Dr Smith and I'm not watching on principle."pic.twitter.com/NXLbrWhsW6
