Do you think FB-marketplace will mute/nuance this effect going forward?

I don’t think it’s a very good substitute. It’s hard to explain over tweets, but basically it’s not very easy to search, and since it’s illegal, and FOSTA creates liabilities for firms, Facebook deletes it quickly.

It's too bad you couldn't work "Craigslisteria" in there.

Really cool, can’t wait to see the Craigslist and fertility paper (had a chance to see the presentation in SEA).

Whoa. I did not even realize that 10-17 percent of female homicides are sex work-related, much less that it's enough higher than that that simply the reduction in risk could be sufficient to create that change. Am I reading that right?
-
It’s hard to say. All we can say is ers roll out is associated with a reduction by that amount. The problem is we don’t have data on sex worker homicides so instead we use placebos to check whether the outcomes are general declines in violence or targeted among women at risk.
