I'm not entirely certain that's an either or situation. I mean it is never unpopular to blame women for things. But suburban dad is culturally a pretty awful figure. Like when I was a kid, the touchstones for the suburban dad were Homer Simpson, Tim Taylor, and Al Bundy.

The feeling I get there is that suburban dad is dumb and awful and not worth considering. And also it is always safe to pick on women

Joe Six Pack May or may not be a dad, it’s not a relevant part of his archetype either way Also when did we last even hear that

Misogyny is a hell of a drug.

also, I noticed a lot of "dad bods" being "sexy" but "suburban wine mom bod" is supposed to be not and I really hate consensus ideas of physical beauty, but this even more so. For so many various reasons

Misogyny. It's worse this year than any year that I've been paying attention.

If it helps, Centrist Dad is a term of abuse in the UK, used to denote someone who's generally liberal, left of centre, kind of social democratic, and interested in pragmatic politics. It can get super-flame around this
-
But obvs women do attract far more than their fair share of abuse for obviously sexist reasons. That's about as disputable as climate change and gravity
