    Thanks to comments by Jürgen Rybak and Lydia Gruber at I added simple absolute polyadic synapse coloring to . It color-codes the number of postysynapses and sometimes reveals small patterns, like in these Drosophila larva L1 Kenyon Cells traced by .

    The next release adds integrated NBLAST. It allows similarity ranking between neurons, landmark transformed neurons and point clouds (e.g. from LM data) to help find/match/identify neurons plus LM data. Thanks to and others for the useful R nat.nblast ref. impl.!

    NBLAST support in CATMAID: construct similarity matrices, find similar neurons (top view) and point clouds (bottom view and right column), use landmarks to transform neurons (e.g. contralaterally) and use NBLAST with them (top view), visualize the results.

    New CATMAID release 2018.07.19 brings more volume intersection tools, 3D line width adj. on all platforms, better 3D catalog export, tracing data FOV constraints, more fine grained sampling options + more. Also it is the last version supporting Python 2.

    So lovely to see our colleagues working in the adult brain being able to map and analyze their favorite neurons and circuits using our software . Here's hoping that the promised ventral nerve cord and complete CNS volumes will get imaged soon!

    New CATMAID release 2018.04.15 brings option to easily save window layouts & dependencies, H2N5 tile source, better landmark based transformations, more arrow shape + color options in graphs, faster neuron stats computation, mesh intersection tools + more

    A new CATMAID version is available: 2017.12.07. Among other things it comes with a new landmark based transformation system, adjustable connector shapes, improved tracing data export and importer for non-empty instances and improved data retrieval speed:

    The next release of will feature landmarks, which can be grouped and linked to locations in space. Ad hoc transformations can be created and used to transform skeletons into other landmark group spaces (yellow: original, pink: transformed virtual skeleton).
