Why should engineers live up to a code of ethics when history suggests they won’t be held accountable for unsafe design? Plus, by out-sourcing safety to clothing color they can move on to more important things like adaptive signal systems to increase motorist speed & throughout.

So while the Rainier Ave “Road Diet” from S Alaska south, w/ 2 lanes suddenly “merging” into 1, now features traffic jams, horns beeping and pedestrians and cyclists scrambling around the melee of stuck vehicles, wearing neon is their only hope?
