Rain drop. Drop top. I wish gov officials would leave a women's constitutional right to an abortion alone and just stop stop.

Because stand your ground laws don't protect women like Brittany Smith from men who rape them, like they didn't protect Marissa Alexander from her abusive husband. They protect White men who kill Black children, like George Zimmerman killed Trayvon Martin.

that modern american politics is both murderously violent in its outcomes and devoted to politeness in its affect rightfully drives any thinking person a bit mad

I don't get starry-eyed about politicians, but I don't hesitate to cast my lot with the unprecedentedly diverse array of people animated by belief in equality and hatred of injustice who meet under the banner "not me, us" and I can find no sympathy for those who look down on them

“racial discrimination by the state” is an odd way of saying “a pervasive system of racial caste enforced at every level and in every sphere of society, by private and public institutions alike”

How incredibly dumb to not have Rico in this, but give the first girl her whole aesthetic.

Billionaires are billionaires from exploitation. The exploited includes high profile talent like rappers signed to labels and Athletes to sports teams. This is fact. Glorifying it or doing mental gymnastics to rationalize why its okay to you doesn't change the reality. Never will

I understand why the innocence claim is such a useful angle here, but we should recognize that sending a 16 year old to die in prison is outrageous whether or not they are guilty.

Y’all swear up and down people are brilliant businessmen with clever business models & the model is just wage theft, worker exploitation and tax evasion.

Billie Eilish is beyond talented. Every time I see her I just can’t help but think about how much the youth of white America use black culture for their aesthetic though

Since homelessness is a top concern of virtually everyone in LA, we should assume that we’ve made it easy for people who are homeless to get shelter and services, right? So they can get off the street quickly? But we haven’t made it easy. We’ve made it impossible. (thread)

“Fearing the Black Body: The Racial Origins of Fat Phobia” by So grateful for this book. It is a truly remarkable piece of work that offers great insight into the history of fatphobia and its origins in the fear and hatred of the Black body.

When I started college, I learned that most of my peers didn't have the US ARMY or National Guard tabling in their high school everyday. They were shocked. The military preys on certain demographics - so when he says so the rich kids can just stay at home, he's not lying
