There are some efforts like this going on (see: https://www.groundai.com/ ) but none have much buy-in. As with startups, I don't think there's any harm in multiple attempts to assemble the right team & vision to build something that gets real momentum (e.g. product-market fit) [...]
My goal here is to send out yet another beacon, so "startup types" who are looking for a problem to solve might notice. There's a HUGE problem here. Please, somebody, help. If you want to work on this, but need a way to fund yourself, I will personally help you find funding.
