    I guess I prefer a more narrative, story driven healing thing? Making meaning of traumatic events is much easier that way and definitely has a more literary, less dry sense

    Meditation as gradual exposure therapy to traumatic triggers is mentioned. I just find it HARD to get a real emotional response from mental images on demand, though. Maybe some just need outside stimulus for this?

    As far as I know, pshychoanlysts are also wary of making trauma a thing and the patient building identity on top of it. This seems like a step on the way, though. It takes time to learn how to relate to it
