2 points here that people seem determined to miss: 1) laws like this are selectively enforced 2) if your point is "we won't comply" then just say it, don't hide behind the "law abiding gun owner" bit. I personally think it's a bad law. Stop coming at me like I support it.
This is a problem when there are dozens of different laws in one state. Has it ever been a problem at any of the other 18 lobby days in the past?
It's been violated at every VCDL lobby day that I've been there for. It's just never enforced because the right wing gets away with just about anything in this country.

These are the same people who's immigration policy is essentialy "they shouldn't have broken the law!" right? Sounds like a bunch of the 2A crowd needs to be deported. I mean... not that I wish that on them, but... They shouldn't have broken the law, right?
I don't believe in deportation as a means of enforcing criminal code because that just means you're exporting the problem to someone else rather than taking the responsibility to help the person get better and reenter society.
