Queer community, we have to come up with a better word than "niblings" to be a gender neutral replacement for "nieces and nephews." I need a word that doesn't make me want to die. I need a word that doesn't sound like it's going to glomp me uwu. I'm a serious adult, damn you

One time I was doing an art workshop with kids and I asked, "do you think art can be evil?" And they all agreed that no, art is good, until one girl thoughtfully asked, "but what if someone drew something REALLY bad, like......... a skull"
This is mostly inside baseball for trans people but please know that you CANNOT ASSUME you are infertile just because you are on HRT. Unless you have gotten a surgery that deliberately renders you infertile, you literally do not know your fertility status. Do not assume!!

The thing about being a trans woman is that there's literally nothing you can do to keep scary people from hating you and wanting you to die. You might as well be a completely authentic freak pervert, because no matter how polite and withdrawn you are they will hate you anyway.

The phrase "the trans question" is a totally normal way to characterize a group of highly marginalized people who are asking for medical care and civil rights
I really don't care what caused my transness. I've had a lot of trauma in my life, and whether it was caused by my transness, concurrent with my transness, or the cause of my transness is impossible to say. It doesn't matter. I'm trans now and I deserve to have power over my body
As a Transsexual Woman, I know that if I ever succeed at something, there's the potential for a federal law or international ruling preventing all future trans women from doing that thing ever again.
You can't prevent transness, you can only impede it. You can hurt a trans person until they pretend to be cis. But you can't erase the fact that they're trans.

Mom, dad... I'm on the gender spectrum. So are you I guess. We all are. I don't know why I'm telling you this way.
Being in queer community means being willing to fight for people you can't stand, and accepting that you're never more than one degree removed from someone who can't stand you either.
The really fun thing about transphobes in 2021 is that they all know that conversion therapy has bad connotations, so they've just learned to say "I don't believe in conversion therapy, I believe in counseling children towards their true gender and protecting them from ideology"

I know multiple trans women who have gotten partners pregnant even after being on hormones for years, and I know trans men who have gotten pregnant despite being on T for years. Protect yourself! HRT on its own is not effective birth control!
As a trans woman, the word "woman" should only be used to refer to me and people like me. I add the "trans" before it as a vulgar display of wealth, but it's not necessary. If you're talking about female humans with wombs I insist that you use the phrase "original-sin havers"

I'm living my best life. I surround myself with powerful women, both cis and trans. I move through the world as a woman, and do things women do and go places women go. You literally cannot stop me. I'm sorry you think this somehow injures you. Talk to a therapist.

It's a special kind of evil to actively work to make sex workers' lives worse and then capitalize shamelessly off their aesthetics.

The people I respect the most in our community are the fucking freaks who are extremely straightforward about who and what they are, and what they're into. No matter how respectable you try to be, it won't stop you from getting harassed or filmed in a public bathroom
I'm grateful for trans people whose ways of expressing their own transness are completely different than my own. There are infinite ways to be trans. Transness is about self-determination. Our community's diversity is its strength.
Some of my friends have detransitioned, and my respect and love for them is enormous. That being said, if they ever decided to use their own experience as a weapon against trans people, advocating for conversion therapy and suicide, they would become my enemies.
This trans day of visibility, recommit to loving and supporting trans people. We need material support now more than ever. Good thoughts are not enough. Transphobes have made our bodies hyper-visible and politicized our children. Show us unequivocal support, because we need it.
I love having a body that ruins family holidays and is an inappropriate topic for dinner table conversation. It's honestly cool as hell

Like, most of the transphobes who respond to my tweets think that I couldn't possibly have intelligent opinions about sexual wellness or boundaries because I work in porn! I have nothing to say to these people. I'm light years ahead of them. There's no point.

Sincerely and from the bottom of my heart, if you are a cis person who contributed to this nightmare by positioning transness as a concept to be debated, building your career on the bodies of dead children, you deserve every bad thing that can possibly happen to you.

Honestly my life as a trans person became easier when I accepted that some people are just cruel. There's nothing magical that I can say to win them over to the side of not being cruel. They understand what they're doing and they enjoy it.

Transness is a prayer for something better. Transness means believing in a better world.
they/them is not a default or neutral pronoun, and using it on someone it doesn't apply to is misgendering that person just as much as using "he" or "she" would be.

Cool grift to publish article after article suggesting that naïve children are being pushed into transgenderism by overzealous doctors and an out-of-control trans lobby, but then when legislation is introduced to block trans medical care say "I was just providing nuance"
There are queer people who have hurt me terribly and there are queer people I would rather break my own fingers than talk to again, but they still deserve love, friendship, stability, housing, community, and work. No queer is bad enough for me to support their destruction.
As individual queer people, our lives need to burn even brighter, more angrily, more violently. There's nothing to be gained by working within conservative systems, or by being polite or quiet. Every aspect of bodily and sexual autonomy is under attack. It's time to attack back.

It's kind of hard to understand how "men are naturally better at literally everything" is the feminist + science-based perspective but who knows... my hormone-addled estrogenated brain probably isn't smart enough to figure that out. I'll need to ask a man about it later.
If you use they/them pronouns to refer to me, you're misgendering me, just like you would be if you said "he." You're not half-right or closer to right by using "they." Getting misgendered isn't a *big* deal, it's something I live with every day, but "they" isn't somehow better.
