I used to hate the CCP too. But one day, my country started bombing Iraq based on lies from the president. We wasted so much money fighting a false war. Then I saw the 2008 olympics. That’s when I changed my mind.

If you go to China, you don’t feel oppressed. But I think they do need the CCP for now. Same reason, Duterte became prez of the Philippines. To get things done.

uhhh the cpc has been there for decades and brave minorities who dared to speak were met with what? extreme surveillance, "education" camps. and upon realizing that you changed your mind because of an olympics opening ceremony is too hilarious

Okay, the reason the camps were made was because the western minorities attacked and killed hundreds of Chinese people. So they basically put them in some sort of re education camp. In an attempted to change their mind about violence.

be concerned with the people's welfare and as an special administrative region with an economic set up a tad different from mainland then Beijing must embrace its unique traits and if the people wants real suffrage then allow it China is too damn big to be led (1/2)

That is very ideal. Have you seen what happened in Puerto Rico? They protested the governor out. Now they are sitting around and still don’t have water and electricity. China has to lead. Without China, that area becomes a wasteland.
