Brill John, fair play to her.. reminds me of my grandmother @ 84yrs being asked if she’d go to the local “old folks social” event, saying “nah that’s just for old people“..

My grandmother was in sheltered housing & complained about all the moaning old folk. She was 103 at the time & still scrubbed her floors "because the home help's just a lassie & doesn't do it right"

My friend has two aunts one of whom as part of her end stage of palliative care was offered a well known sedative & the other aunt said she didn’t think it was a good idea as it’s addictive. I love that type of hopeful love.

Love this, my sisters Nan-In-Law is 94 and announced she’s meeting the old dears for lunch tomorrow, the old dears she’s referring to are 65 and 71
they can teach us a thing or 2

Haha. My 84 year old grandad won’t go to the garden centre on a Tuesdays because ‘it’s full of old people’.

I expect that’s why she’ll be 104. Good woman

My own mother is 83 and still teaching piano. And god help anyone who suggests she might retire
