    My daughter and her friends have grown up to refer to commercials of any kind as "Skip Ads". Usage Example: "I saw this really funny kitten in a skip ad yesterday."

    Just a reminder that a “nonviolent” protest isn’t a protest that’s supposed to make you feel warm & fuzzy afterwards. One of the primary points of protest is to make people uncomfortable with conditions as they exist. Don’t conflate nonviolence & comfort.

    It’s funny that the main argument people who oppose Louisiana joining the rest of the country in requiring unanimous jury verdicts use is “it wouldn’t work here,” I guess bc of Louisiana’s rich cultural history and obsession w its own exceptionalism?
