We don't complain about it because it's not, in and of itself, a problem. The problem is largely that it's ONLY men who are used in that way, and often if women are, they are sexualized and objectified in the process.
Portraying women typically as "virtuous" or good, rather than allowing them the full spectrum of humanity in media that men occupy, is itself oppressive and limiting, and reasserts the position of male as dominant and default, and female as other. This is not complicated.

Men aren't "treated poorly." Men are treated very well, as full human beings who get to be anything & everything, & therefore no one portrayal reinforces any oppressive stereotype against men. (Also men are the dominant gender in our culture, they are not oppressed to begin with)
