I loved it. I thought Kratos was growing as a character and still making mistakes. (Like dealing with anger management). I felt the story had layers and plots that rhymed and came together. Hellblade I adore as well! How do you think it could have been approached differently?

I found Kratos’ character and the way his masculinity is constructed and presented so very campy. Almost like 1980s gay hypermasculinity

Damn, have you reviewed Hellblade, I want to play it so much and heard so many great things about it. Its apparently one of the best videogame portrayals of schizophrenia or psychosis.

I didn’t review the game but I did write about it here:https://feministfrequency.com/2017/08/30/facing-the-darkness-within-the-importance-of-acting-in-observer-and-hellblade/ …

I loved the awkwardness of Kratos learning to be a dad as well the juxtaposition of power and anger vs nurture and parental love was executed very well easy to make it ham fisted. Hell blade was good but from a gameplay point of view was very very shallow think 5/10 is harsh!
