If you're using white people as a baseline, sure. Your life isn't easier than the lives of other white people just because of your skin color, but not everyone is white. Some people who aren't white face difficulties in life on the basis of their skin color alone.

Some people who aren’t white also living quite comfortably, while some people who are white are living on the streets. The notion that the color of your skin dictates your situation is ridiculous.

You think potential employers might at some point be less likely to hire you specifically because you’re white?

Actually yes maybe. A lot of places want to increase “diversity” in the work place by looking for non-whites to hire. Same with colleges.
