I have watched that "series", if we are going to call it that (and calling it a series is nails on a chalkboard to me but that is purely a personal opinion) and it is all 1 person's taking one little perceived slight, then blowing it out of all proportion.

lol. k. how convenient that you get to feel that way, never having experienced firsthand just how incredibly misogynistic games culture can be, and how those attitudes are so fueled and reinforced by the content of so many games. enjoy your privilege.

It's just a fact. You couldn't go through what I've gone through and have the slightest shred of doubt about the widespread sexism of games and the role games themselves have historically played in reinforcing that highly misogynistic culture around games.

You actually have the gall to say that after assuming my life experience? You are fucking hilarious, I hope you realise that. Although I should point out that I’m more over laughing AT you, rather than with you.

I'm not assuming anything about your life experience other than that it isn't mine and that clearly it has not illuminated for you how the widespread misogyny IN games has reinforced the culture of misogyny AROUND games.

You're making assumptions about me in the same tweet that you say you're not making assumptions about me. Let me ask you this very simple question; Do you believe that violence in video games reinforces violence outside of video games?

Of course, it reinforces the fact that domination through violence is accepted and even admired as an interpersonal and international value. It's well-documented that media influences our cultural values, our understanding of gender, our fears, our sense of beauty, and so on.

Also, I'm not making assumptions about you. Your statements make it very clear that you don't believe misogyny in games is an issue worthy of much concern, or something that has much cultural power or impact.

okay lets do a little excercise here. You based what you just said off of what? Because for sure you know damn-on nothing about me so you didn't base that assertion off of knowledge.

I'm drawing conclusions. Anyone who recognizes that misogyny in games culture is a very serious issue lthat needs to be seriously discussed and to some extent challenged and rectified would not try to dismiss and discredit FF's important work in this area as you have done.

Alan is basically in every post commenting in a way that makes it seem he is upset people are discussing misogyny and not the misogyny itself.
