That was still a choice that Target made, not “censorship.” But that’s not what I do. I just want creators to understand their work has an impact, and players to think critically about the games they play.

People write petitions all of the time. Someone made a petition to build an actual death star. If Target honored that petition it's because they chose to.

The people signing the petition had no authority over target. If target didn't comply, so what? They'd be unhappy and maybe buy their groceries somewhere else for a little bit. Target has a huge customer base, and the petition base is not a significant part of that.

So better play it safe and just never, as an individual or small group, criticize the values of media created by massive powerful corporations, huh? We really gotta look out for them. They should be our priority.
