It’s flawed? Your response to it seems to be “It’s totally okay for media to glorify violence if that’s what it wants to do.” I think we can still have the conversation about how those values are harmful to our culture.
You seem to be saying that if critics discuss art as if it actually matters, they will inevitably be unintentionally encouraging censorship so hey, let’s all pretend that media has no impact on our culture whatsoever.

That was still a choice that Target made, not “censorship.” But that’s not what I do. I just want creators to understand their work has an impact, and players to think critically about the games they play.

What you're referring to as Censorship, I refer to as convincing game devs of other options. It's not as if a particular type of game is being stomped out, and if there's a gap in the market that's an opportunity for a new studio to grow.
