Violent games don't "cause" acts of violence, school shootings or otherwise. In their sheer volume & alongside tons of other violent media, they do contribute to a glorification & acceptance of violence as a method of conflict resolution on an interpersonal & international scale.

Disingenuous is the right word. If Call of Duty has inspired any mass shootings, they're the ones committed overseas by a generation recruited & indoctrinated through media violence to believe the sanctity of America's mission of military dominance abroad.
