(And, yes, imagine a world in which our notions of violence were such that the violence in a game like GoldenEye was seen as "tragic" and "horrible" rather than totally awesome. Just imagine it.)

The kind of direct link the White House is trying to suggest between video games and specific violent acts is disingenuous and clouds the real conversation we should be having (which is the whole point of the tactic). https://youtu.be/0C_IBSuXIoo pic.twitter.com/CFMDr2HQTp

What bullshit line do Trump & co. pull when people point out that numerous other countries also have these exact same violent video games and don't have anything like the levels of gun violence we do? If only we could pinpoint the difference!

The plethora of studies done on the subject just don't show that to be true. There is no established causation nor correlation between the two, since consumption of violent media has skyrocketed while violent crime rates are lower among youth than in the past.

Seems you yourself are reinforcing a culture of physical escalation and violence... Your concerns seem empty in light of that...https://twitter.com/carolynmichelle/status/891105193827237888?s=19 …

Bundling all video games into one category to make your point doesn't really help your case. Japanese, South Korean, and US video game markets/culture might overlap, but they are not the same.

No, they don't. They literally don't. Time and time again, longitudinal studies show media consumption has no affect on attitudes about sex, race, violence, etc. This is all shit you just made up.
