Instead I saw the film at a nearby theater and was one of maybe 12 or 15 ppl in a large auditorium filled with empty seats. It’s fascinating to me that so many San Francisco moviegoers would now clearly rather wait days to see a movie at the Drafthouse than see it anywhere else.

Yes. Ugh! After going primarily to the Drafthouse for a while, the branding on everything elsewhere just feels like a bombardment. And sitting through those fucking “We took you behind the scenes of the upcoming CW drama The Blargenfelds” is painful.
