It bothers me a little when gaming sites review films like Justice League but not, say, films like Call Me by Your Name, because there's a self-perpetuating cultural judgment there about what "gamers" are (and aren't) into.
IDK. I really think that games media catering SO EXCLUSIVELY to young straight males for so long contributed to GG, etc. I'm not saying abandon that audience; just challenge it and make an effort to broaden it from time to time.

I agree but I don't think that's a good way to do it. It's like teaching someone to fight by hitting them with a baseball bat. They can use diversity in games themselves first to start conversation only to them move to other forms of media.
