It's always funny to me to hear people talk about meditating as a way of trying to calm the constant chatter in their minds, because due to my long history of depersonalization I'm often so completely out of touch with my inner monologue that I'm unaware of it and I HATE it.

Ahhhh yeah, I’ve had some times like those; usually my own tendency has been more to think about EVERYTHING all at once (except the important/low-key-traumatic stuff) & get confused. In my experience it does get better over time with steady work.
